Instruction/practices for Emrey Track and Field Association, Lehigh Valley Blazers, and/or Easton Police Athletic league team members will be at Moravian College's Steele Field, Bethlehem, PA from 6-8 PM as follows:

  • Tuesday, May 27
  • Tuesdays, June 3, 10, 17
  • Tuesdays, July 1, 8, 15, 22, and 29

Those currently not members may join any of these organizations on site:

  • $10.00 for individuals
  • $15.00 for all children in a family/single household
  • $25.00 for an entire family

This fee will cover all competitions as well, which are as follows:

  • 6:00-8:00 PM Thursdays, Phillipsburg High School, Phillipsburg, NJ: May 22 & 29
  • 6:00-8:00 PM Thursdays, Steele Field @ Moravian College, Bethlehem, PA: June 5, 12, 19, & 26; July 3, 10, 17
  • 6:00-8:00 PM Thursdays, J. Birnie Crum Stadium, Allentown, PA: July 24 & 31

Hershey's Track & Field Games: Children Ages 9-14

On Saturday, May 24, approximately 50-75 9-14 year old boys and girls from Easton, PA and other parts of Lehigh Valley will compete at Easton High School, 25th St. & William Penn Highway, In the Easton Recreation Department running of the Hershey Track & Field Games. Competition starts at 11:00 AM. Winners In the Easton meet wilt advance to the district/state and/or North American meets as follows: Local winners advance to the District III (Eastern) Meet @ Pottsville Area HS, 16th and Elk. Avenue, Pottsville, PA @ 11:00 AM on June 14.

District winners and others advance to the State Meet @ Penn State University, State College, PA @ 12:00 Noon on June 28. State Meet winners do not automatically advance to the North American meet, August 2 @ 10:15 AM @ Henry Hershey Field in Hershey, PA, They are part of a regional pool from which the Hershey Food Co. selects those participants in that final meet. This trip is paid for by Hershey. In order to participate in the local meet, all participants must commit to all subsequent participation if they qualify.

Events include 50m., 100m, 200m, 400m, 800m, 1600m, 4 x 100m relay, standing long jump and softball throw.

They must be returned to City Hall, Department of Recreation, Alpha Building, 1 South Third St., Easton, PA, 18042, no later than 12:00 noon on Thursday, 22 May.
